It's a solid pub with solid pub food. It's comfort food without frills, but tasty and hits the spot on a cold night. It's a sizeable location, so great for a big group. The service was friendly, and I can see why some said it was bad, but I felt it was just fine, and not "hovery." who wants a server that hovers?? Not me. Look, it's better and cheaper than the outback across the way and it's a small business that serves good food. It's worth a try.

Not worth the money. I ordered the fish and chips, and it was like eating fish wrapped in a pancake. They had a beer list but the waitress didn't know anything about the beer or if they even had the beer on the list. I also ordered the mussels and half of them came out empty. Nothing special at this place. Other then they Over charge for fast food.

My boyfriend and I met his friends out for drinks on a Saturday night and when we got there no greeters, greatly understaffed for the band and how little people were there. When we sat at the bar, my boyfriend got a drink and the bar tender didn't even look at me! It was probably an hour until I finally got another bar tenders attention for a soda! And we ordered food and waited for at least 45 minutes and it was mediocre food!

My daughter and I had a day out and were in the shopping center where Sligo recently opened. We were not disappointed. My daughter had the hot roast beef sandwhich and said it was the best that she ever had in the area. I had the salmon salad and potato soup and it was perfect. The restaurant was clean as was the ladies room. Service was perfect. We will definitely go back!

We stopped by Sligo on a cold Friday night. My husband had the grilled meatloaf and *loved* it! I had the shepards pie and it was very yummy. Our waitress was very attentive and our food came quickly. My husband also liked his beer. It was something "nice and hoppy." Overall a very good experience!

Although it's a great location and nice decor, the food is sub par. My husband had the fish and chips, which he said was so-so. I had the so called grownup grilled cheese, which came out looking like something I made in college after a night of drinking. We will not be returning.

Went on Sunday before St. Paddy's Day. Surprisingly empty for an Irish pub. Menu was special for St. Patrick's day. Good selection of beer although many listed were sold out. Our group enjoyed the chicken flatbread, corned beef and cabbage soup, bangers and mashed potatoes, and seafood chowder. Foot long hotdog with sauerkraut and mustard was just okay. Kids selections are the usual chicken tenders hamburgermacaroni and cheese. Three stars for being an okay dining experience not great.

Went to Sligo last night to listen to some Irish music the weekend before St. Patty's day. They had two bands both rock bands, oh, the second band was identified as an Irish band and they played about 6 Irish songs and the rest was rock. I like rock, BUT NOT AT AN IRISH BAR ST PATTYS DAY weekend. If you want to be an Irish Bar visit Kildare's to get an idea. Otherwise, you will not survive. Don't know if I'll be back. The good news, my beer was cold. Another recommendation, don't let designers make all the decisions, the bar has a small house in the middle, you cannot see the other side of the bar. Get rid of it.

Nice looking place. Clean. Great beer selection. Came in on a Monday. Normally I wouldn't even rate a place but it's a shame with such a great menu n decent food menu, has such not such great service.

The family went here for lunch on a Saturday. Big mistake. We ordered some chicken for me, a salad for my wife, and grilled cheese for the kids. They had a bloody Mary special so we took them up on that as well. Waiter dropped the food off and disappeared. My chicken was extremely dry, my wife wanted a bit more dressing, and the kids grilled cheese came on the wrong bread. the kids would not eat their meal on the bread they put it on. I walked around the restaurant looking for our waiter or a manager. I found neither. It was pretty dead so it should have been easy. Another waitress told us only our waiter could help. He finally showed up near the end of our meal with the drinks. We asked that he remove the kids meal since they didn't eat it and it was wrong. He then disappeared again. I tracked him down sitting at the bar with a drink talking to the bar tender. Crazy. It took a few more requests before they finally removed the grilled cheese. It wasn't that they didn't want to its just that he kept forgetting. We sent an email to Sligo and called. We couldn't tell a manager since there wasn't one there apparently. We never heard back from them. We heard the family next to us having almpst the exact same converation. Poorly run place. I give it a year before they close.

Went to Sligo today to see my friend's band play. Nice place. Had the roast pork, it was delicious. Wife liked her grown-up grill cheese. Service was good, and both food and drink were reasonably priced. Would definitely go back.

Been twice, not good on either occasion. The place was almost empty on Friday night and I don't think this place will last the year. Menu is strange- very limit selection, mostly just burgers. Food not good. They claim to have wifi, but after logging in, my phone said that I was unable to connect to any websites. It's too bad because someone put some money into this place. Management, if you're listening, get your act together!

This place could do well in the area. I like the atmosphere. Here are the issues that management needs to work on to make it successful. The wait staff is inexperienced and not very knowledgeable about the menu. Out waitress was super nice, but it was almost as if it was her first night waitressing. We arrived and waited about 20 min for a table. Totally fine. Had a drink or two at the bar. (Tonic was flat, btw). Sat down and ordered apps immediately. 25 min later the waitress came over and stated the kitchen was behind. Ok, not a huge deal but was hoping to make our movie so was a little worried. Finally the apps came out. Unfortunately we had to sit and stare at them for 5 minutes as we had no utensils or plates or napkins. We got the wings. Nice taste, but we asked to have them very well done, which they weren't. Also got the Mac and cheese. Another pretty tasty dish, yet they charge 10.00 for it and it was about 3 tablespoons worth. This should be a side dish and be under 5.00 for what you get. Everyone seemed happy with the entrees, yet again, a 14 dollar salad that had a few slices of chicken on it. A band began to play around 9 pm, which I enjoyed but way to loud to actually hold a conversation. Should probably wait until 10 pm when most people aren't still eating dinner, or turn the volume down. Overall, the food was descent but the service was lacking and the prices too high for what they give you. I probably wouldn't seek this place out again.

Great food, great service. The grill cook is fabulous, I've never had a better burger ever! Really turned around after switching managers.

I work close by so I've given this place a few more tries than merited. Service is generally pretty lackluster with under-trained young staff with eyes glued to their phones. They made several mistakes and did a poor job of rectifying the issues. Come with tempered expectations and you'll be fine. Slightly over priced but hey, its a pub and ide probably choose Sligo over outback for a simple burger.

Went there for lunch with a friend. Even though we got there around 12:30, the place was practically empty. Very limited menu, even for pub food. I got the fish and chips, which was inedible. Mrs. Paul makes better fish, if you know what I mean. Waitress disappeared after dropping off our food. Won't be back, which shouldn't be a problem, since this place probably won't last long.

Stopped in for lunch....we got sandwiches with side salads. Salads were tasty, sandwiches were average. Turkey in the turkey wrap was dry, but likes the apples and cranberries. My daughter got the salmon blt and enjoyed it. They had live Irish music that was awesome. We will go back....just won't get the turkey again.

Went in on a rainy day and there was literally no one in there. No problem, I thought, we'll get better service. Well, we sat at the bar and you would've thought we were invisible! The bartender acted like we were imposing on him to give us some attention. Then, we ordered lunch and he couldn't tell me what kind of salad dressing they had AND got our order wrong. How does this even happen? My food (wrong) came and although the soup was edible, the salad was a disgrace! Wilted lettuce, ashen tomatoes, gross! I was so bummed out. It is not a cheap place and I was beyond disappointed. The employees there are under-trained and seem like they don't care AT ALL. I saw every young person at the host stand staring at their phone and no one even got up to open the door for folks who were trickling in. This place is awful. Just plain awful. Boring, odd menu. The only redeeming quality is the decor.
